Bid guidelines

A bid is an estimate, not a final invoice. Businesses submit bids based on the project details, photos, and answers the customer provides — not an in-person assessment. Two bid formats are supported: - Exact price — a single-price estimate for the described work. - Price range — a low–high estimate, used when the full scope can't be determined without seeing the job in person. Once work actually begins, the final price may differ from the bid if an in-person inspection or the work itself reveals conditions that weren't reasonably knowable from the project listing (for example, hidden damage or site conditions). Any such price change is worked out directly between the customer and business — LibertyBid is not a party to that conversation and doesn't mediate, approve, or record it. The customer is never obligated to accept a higher price than what was bid and accepted; if the two sides can't agree on the final terms, the customer can cancel and relist the project to collect new bids.
